What you'll learn
Blockchain is a cutting-edge technology that has the potential to alter the way we store, share, and manage information. A decentralised ledger records transactions securely, transparently, and tamper-proof, enabling multiple parties to access and verify information without relying on a central authority.
The blockchain is built on various complex algorithms designed to ensure that once information has been recorded in the system, it remains unchanged forever. The blockchain is continuously growing as new transactions are added to it in chronological order and cannot be altered retroactively without altering all subsequent blocks in the chain.
What you will learn:
In this workshop, we will explore the foundations of blockchain technology and how it might be applied to various industries. In addition, we will look at the current state of blockchain adoption and how it may evolve in the coming years. You’ll have the opportunity to hear more about Bitcoin, the most well-known application of blockchain technology, which enables secure peer-to-peer transactions without the need for intermediaries like banks. We’ll also examine the token economy – another growing use case of blockchain technology where assets can be represented by tokens stored on the blockchain. This has the potential to disrupt industries from finance to real estate.
During the workshop
During the workshop, you will get an overview of the current and future applications. As an attendee, you will learn about the current state of blockchain adoption and its potential applications in various industries, including finance, supply chain management, and healthcare. There’ll also be a discussion of the challenges and limitations of blockchain where you’ll understand the challenges and limitations of blockchain technology and how they can be overcome to realise its full potential.
